We’re writing to let you know that from 1st April our membership prices are set to increase by £3 per month. However, you will also remember we recently removed our £25 annual fee saving you a considerable amount that offsets this increase while also simplifying our membership structure.
As a community-led charity which is here to help local people, we never want to increase our prices, but unfortunately, our price lock is no longer sustainable due to the Government’s decision to increase National Insurance Contributions, as well as the rises to the Minimum Wage and the impact of inflation.
Unfortunately without the small fee increase, we wouldn’t be able to sustain some of our most vital work across Torpoint & Plymouth. This includes services we offer like free meals to disadvantaged young people, supporting the lonely & isolated through our free social groups, giving employment support to young people with additional needs and much more.
Your membership helps make this possible – you really do “Workout to help out” each time you visit us.
YMCAs are a network of independent local charities – we’re not a top-down national organisation. Therefore, we are completely run by and for Plymouth & Torpoint people.
We hope you appreciate this small increase is outside of our control and that we have only made this change to ensure the sustainability of our centre and services, whilst remaining affordable.
