YMCA Plymouth’s medical fitness sessions will get you back to good health, then help you stay there. Delivered by experienced and qualified instructors, our sessions provide a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy your exercise while keeping you on track with your personal programme.
Our team of instructors holds nationally recognised qualifications in; Exercise on Referral, Personal Training, Fitness Assessment, Healthy Eating and Circuit Training

Who is it for?
Cardiac Rehabilitation-Phase IV
For anyone who has experienced any cardiac problems and wish to continue or start an exercise
regime in a safe and controlled environment.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation-Phase IV
For anyone who has COPD, wishes to continue or start an exercise regime in a safe and controlled environment.
Exercise Type
Circuit Based-A supervised session consisting of steps, trampette, weights and cardiovascular machines
including; bikes, rowers and cross-trainer. Participants work at a personally prescribed training target set by the instructor.

Mondays 16:00 – 17:00
Thursdays 16:00 – 17:00
Step to Help Get You Started
Step 1: Consult with your GP or Medical Professional to determine if Exercise on Referral is appropriate for you.
Step 2: Obtain a completed Referral form from your GP or Medical Professional.
Step 3: Contact the YMCA to arrange an assessment meeting.
