Get your friend to sign up for a fitness membership at YMCA Plymouth to bag yourself the chance to win a £25 Love2Shop voucher and a £15 discount for them when they join. All friends referred must be new customers or have not had an active membership at YMCA Plymouth within the last 12 months.
How it works
- Get your discount code: Go to the referrals section under ‘My Account’ on the membership/booking portal. You must be logged into your account.
- Share it with your friend: Copy the unique code and share it with your friend
- Apply it: Your friend must then apply the code at the checkout when purchasing a valid membership. Their discount will then apply at the checkout.
- Await the draw: Once your friend has purchased their membership, you will automatically be entered into our prize draw for the current 3-month period (see draw dates below). We’ll get in touch with you to let you know if you’ve won!
Prize Draws
Prize draws are held once every 3 months for all the valid referrals made in the preceding 3 months. You will get one entry made for each referral within that period. There is no limit to your entries, and the rolling draw happens every 3 months, giving you a chance to win whenever you refer.

- 1st December (For referrals made 1st Sept – 31st Nov)
- 1st March (For referrals made 1st Dec – 31st Feb)
- 1st June (For referrals made 1st March – 31st May)

FAQ
Can I refer more than one friend?
Yes! The more friends you refer within the same draw period, the more entries you get into that draw, giving you a better chance of winning.
What if I refer different friends at different times?
If you refer different friends in different draw periods i.e. (one friend between June and August and another between September and November) you will first get one draw entry in the summer draw (1st Sept), and another entry into the Autumn draw (1st September) – giving you a chance of winning two vouchers!
If I win, where can I spend the £25 voucher?

Does the discount for my friend work with other offers?
The referral offer only applies to standard memberships which have not been discounted already. Student, Corporate or Military memberships are not eligible for the referral discount.
If we are currently running a ‘no joining fee’ offer, the referral offer will still apply an additional discount to the remaining first month payment for the membership. However, as our memberships work on a pro-rata-basis for the first month, the amount discounted may vary. If we are running a no-joining fee discount, we recommend your friend joining at the start of the month in order to maximise their additional discount from the referral code.
Terms & Condtions
New customers only
- Referred friends must be new customers or not have had an active YMCA Plymouth fitness membership within the last 2 years.
Existing/Recent customers are prohibited from obtaining the discount
- Any existing/returning customers who already had an active fitness membership within the last 1 years and attempt to obtain the discount by creating alternative membership accounts will have their membership suspended until the discount is paid back to YMCA Plymouth.
- The referring friend will also be removed from the draw, and any future draw if their referral is found to be ineligible
Discount / Referrals are accepted for non-discounted memberships only
- Eligible membership for the £15 discount includes: Standard Gold & Silver Monthly Direct Debits and Standard Silver & Gold up-front 6-month and 12-month passes
