Are you someone who struggles with losing weight or maintaining a healthy routine?

We know that losing weight can be challenging and the solution to staying healthy is different for everyone. That’s why we’ve developed the Y-Weight, a free 12-week weight management programme that’s tailored to you.

If you’re not sure where to start or struggle to stick to a healthy lifestyle then then Y-Weight is a respectful, confidential and supportive way to help you make a positive change that lasts.

We provide 1 to 1, group or drop-in sessions with our qualified instructors to help you make that change. You’ll get diet and exercise advice as well as a structured exercise programme with regular weigh-ins to keep you on track.

The programme also includes a free membership of our fitness facilities at YMCA Torpoint.

How it works

The weight management programme is for 18 years and older with people of a BMI of 28 or above. You must live within Cornwall and attend sessions that are delivered at YMCA Torpoint by one of our fully trained Personal Trainers.

We cater up to 20-25 clients throughout a 12-week cycle and all initial 1 to 1 consultations can be booked in with our staff any weekday between 8.30am – 2.30pm.

A personal weight loss plan will be created between you and your programme leader which will include meal planning advice and fitness sessions.

You will have access to our fitness suite where you can take part in suitable exercises 2 to 3 times a week, during our opening hours over a 7-day week.

Over the course, private and confidential weigh-ins will be taken as a measurement to keep track of your progress alongside support and discussions about your programme journey.
